An exciting new training
environment for all adult developed and
experienced singers wishing to sing the music of Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and
many other operatic composers. Selected other choruses will be studied
( such
as Romberg and Sullivan )
Suitable for those working towards auditioning for a State or National Chorus,
or equally for those who want to develop their singing to a professional standard,
while working on some of the greatest vocal composers.
The Opera Chorus School ( OCS ) , run by Stewart Cameron, one of Queensland's
most
sought-after soloists and a prominent teacher of singing and voice production.
In March 2009 , well-known coach and accompanist, Katrina May was appointed chief repetiteur and HEad of Music
Regular classes will initially be monthly at a central location in Brisbane .
Other branches of the Queensland Opera Chorus School are planned for Mackay and Townsville in 2011.
Entry to the school is by audition. Resources will be provided to assist your
learning.
There will be opportunities for members to perform as a chorus and/or as indiviuals.
